Great news!! MMEF have secured a permanent home for the AMI 3-6 Diploma, starting in April 2026

 

Kia ora Koutou MMEF Supporters, 

Yes, we used two exclamation marks in our headline above--that's because we are so excited! 

Our latest news, which we are now able to share with you, is that the Maria Montessori Education Foundation now has a permanent home from which we will deliver the next 3-6 Diploma, beginning April 2026.

Our new training home is in Rosedale, just over the Bridge on Auckland’s North Shore. We move in early February to establish our new 3-6 training environment here. 

“Having a permanent base for this period of time will allow MMEF to create a Montessori hub - a venue for discussions, workshops, parent evenings, and so much more”, said a clearly excited Carol Potts, 3-6 Director of Training. "This is transformative for Montessori training in this country," she said.

We have been seeking a consistent venue for our training right from the very first 3-6 Diploma offered in Aotearoa in 2009, when we operated from the Quaker Hall in Mt Eden, in Albany's Kawai Purapura, and most recently Awātaha Marae in Northcote. Many of you will remember the fun, laughter, and lots of hard work in those much-loved environments over the years, and we look forward to hosting you (and calling on you!) to help re-prepare this new training environment for the next group of MMEF alumni to emerge fully-fledged in October 2027.

This new environment means we can take our work to the next level by having an always-prepared environment to showcase our training programme, plus a prepared venue for our Montessori community. 

There is also an open invitation to those travelling to Tamariki Makaurau to come and spend a little time with us here. "We can't wait to show you around," says Carol.

 

0-3, 3-6 & 6-12 Orientation Certificate Courses 2026 

MMEF are currently working on exact dates for the AMI 60-hour Orientation Certificates in 2026 at the three age levels 0-3, 3-6 & 6-12. At this stage, pencil in your diaries August - September for all three! Please stay informed via the MMEF website here.

AMI 3-6 Diploma - BLENDED format delivery April 2026 - October 2027

Consider concluding the year by applying to study for an AMI Diploma in 2026. Interviews are underway now. It will change your life.
